to the Abridge Village Weekend - 2010 |
This
years weekend is being held from Friday
June 11th to Sunday June 13th
and promises to be a weekend not to be missed with
many new ideas and a really strong organising committee
putting together some really ambitious plans.
The weekend now offers a great selection of activities
for all age groups and helps to raise much neededd
funds not only for the village hall which help to
keep the hire rate subsidised for local residents,
but also to most organisations and charities with
links to Abridge. The Sunday Funday has many attractions
including arena events, side shows, craft stalls,
kids entertainer, mini fair and marching bands and
also gives the local orgaisations the chance to
run stalls that help with their fundraising. On
the Saturday the refreshment stall is run by volunteers
of the pre-school and Lambourne Primary School with
all profits being split between them and the Hall
allowing them to raise funds that help the children
of the village. |

The village festival weekend really is a fantastic
weekend with money being raised for the village
and the chance for residents of the village to get
together and have a good time. Whether that be supporting
the different events throughout the weekend or coming
down and helping in any small way to put on the
weekend. It is a great time for all!!
